How to get a tattoo on the bottom of my foot

How I did it: It sporadically happened after giving some thought into it and really knowing what I wanted and why I wanted it.
My friend has a tattooist he frequents who was more than willing to do my simple design on my foot for the minimum payment of $50. As I was willing to pay it.
Didn't want to get anything that would ever jeopardize a career opportunity.
Honestly, didn't want something completely permanent. As I said I never wanted a tattoo, but I finally I weighed out the pros and cons and it was worth it.
Now I just have to find the best ways to care for it, preventing infection or constant irritation.
Any suggestions?
