How to see muse live
How I did it: I had always wanted to see them live after watching their Hullabaloo DVD. I heard they were coming down to South Africa to take part in a music festival, so I bought my ticket early. Three months later my friends and I took a road trip from the east coast to Johannesburg to attend the festival, and it was more than worth it for Muse alone. They were fantastic and played much longer than I expected they would - when Bellamy played Space Dementia on a glow-in-the-dark piano... well it was just amazing. Many of the other acts were great, too. Like Chris Cornell, Kaiser Chiefs, 30 Seconds to Mars, etc. I also got to shake hands with Jared Leto, so it was overall very exciting.
Lessons & tips: In my opinion Muse sound even better live than on their albums, and they really put on a great show in all departments (lights, crowd interaction, etc). So don't miss an opportunity to go see them!
Try to take some money, not just for food but also to buy a t-shirt or something. Souvenirs are always nice.
