How to spend time alone
"It took me five days of spending time alone to really appreciate it and relax. Now I love it and look forward to making time alone for myself at least once a week."
How I did it: Sent my daughter to camp, stayed home, stocked the fridge, did whatever I wanted to do whenever I felt like it. I also somtimes didn't answer the phone, got rid of garbage trucks and tried to reduce stress, and I'm not posting on facebook right now and sending very limited emails.
Lessons & tips: If you want to relax in this crazy 24/7 technological world, then be by yourself for a while. Sit on your deck in the warm sun and just read.
Resources: Books, healthful foods, treats, a closed front door.
