How to visit Chicago
How I did it: Planned a long weekend trip with a friend a few months in advance, and went! We found some deals on travel websites (Travelocity/Hotwire) and then after we picked our package (flight + hotel), we ran an online search for coupons for those websites and saved another $160. It wound up being very affordable.
Lessons & tips: Travel with someone who enjoys the same types of activities/sightseeing/etc as you do. Make sure you know what the person you travel with is like.
If you want to go to the Field Museum, Willis TowerHancock, Shedd Aquarium... Either order your tickets online to be at Will Call; or purchase a "City Pass." It will be WELL WORTH it because you can bypass all lines. We spent hours and hours in line, even on weekday mornings.
