How I did it: I'm a photographer so ever since 4 years ago I've been constantly keeping notebooks, sketchbooks and scrap books (same things really). Some I keep as visual journals, my photographs in and momentos from my life, such as tickets from trains, planes and galleries, and other momentos I collect, I'm always annotating. This has made me obsessed with always buying mini notebooks and such. Some I chuck away afterwards and some I keep to look at to smile and laugh at good memories or my dodgy crafts work, the only downside is alongside my photography work it builds into a real space filler.

Lessons & tips: always carry some type of paper or note taker with you
