How to run 5k
How I did it: Training slowly... building up gradually, until I completed 5K without realising I had reached it.
Started running as a complete beginner, running for 1 minute, walking for 30 seconds. By the second week I was running for 5 minutes and walking for 30 seconds (6 times in one session).
By end of 3rd week, ran 5K without stopping.
Lessons & tips: Train slowly, build up gradually. Don't worry about speed - that comes eventually
