How to learn to apply makeup
How I did it: This was one of the more fun goals I've set out for myself. Initially, I worked with what I had and what my roommate was able to loan me from her makeup collection. The hardest part was getting comfortable applying the eyeliner. Once I had that down, I started moving to eyeshadow. At first just one color all over my lids, working up to multiple shades to create the "smokey" look. I knew I had achieved my goal when I bought a palette with 9 shadows from Urban Decay and created lots of beautiful looks with little effort! Now I can do a successful eye makeup in about 5 mins. Yay!
Lessons & tips:
- Be confident and take risks. You're more beautiful than you realize!
- Have fun and experiment...you can always be a few minutes late to the party.
- Think about a style/look you are going for, then keep that in mind throughout your makeup application.
- Be dramatic! Especially if you wear glasses, cause it can be hard to see your makeup through them.
- Buy palettes with lots of different colors, especially when you're first starting out. You want options!
