How I did it: I got help from the company I worked for... providing them proof that I could help grow their business as well as have a business of my own.
I've written a blog post that explains how I'm managing to do it all - leave a great job and start a business on my own, but maintain my reputation and my ties with the company that I owe so much to!
Lessons & tips: Do it sooner - it will never be the right time.
