How to kayak

How I did it: My daughter and I rented a two person kayak. I controlled the rudder so I was responsible for most of the steering. It was easy to paddle and fun for both of us. I've also kayaked in Maui, but it was a different experience (neither better nor worse) with more waves, but warmer water.
I'd like to get my own kayak someday so I can just take off on a whim.
