How to buy green when possible
"I started working at a food co-op and being around people who are concerned with their influence on their health and the world around them made it easier to make better decisions regarding my purchases. "
How I did it: It wasn't a sweeping change as much as, when I had to buy things I would try to find something used or a more green option. Along with these types of changes I made an attempt to buy less, and not buying anything in the first place is obviously more green. An example of this is that I clean with vinegar and water instead of store bought cleaners.
Lessons & tips: Do your research. Often green looking products are just as bad or have a worse carbon footprint than their conventional option.
