"Tripped me out completely because it stripped away all the excuses I created for myself."
How I did it: I pulled from my Master Life list and from my 43 things list to compile my obituary. I didn't think too long or hard, instead writing down mostly first reactions. I've always known what things are really, actually important and they ended up on the list (yet again). I didn't write every little thing down, though. If I wasn't sure about it, I left it out. For example, there's no mention of a significant other, because I truly believe that there are some things that just cannot be planned out. This was a massive moment of clarity and a great test of how well I know myself.
Lessons & tips: I only wrote down the highlights. I kept it under 2 pages as it is an obituary, not a memoir. I didn't take much time, maybe an hour to write it. I let my initial responses take the lead.
Resources: A pad of paper and a couple No. 2 pencils.
