How I did it: i started by deciding on one  statement or question rather than have ten things at once come out of my mouth!

but i guess i need to write a bit more...and i'm actually writing this almost as a joke although i am alltofamiliar with the difficulties involved with being in public and speaking to strangers.

i've had my fair share of people look at me funny when i talk to them but more often than not i find people have so much to share! opinions, stories, tips, tricks-you name it and people will talk about it. chances are the more you talk to strangers the more friends you make and the more stories you will have of your own!

Lessons & tips: 1)decide what you want to say to avoid foot-in-mouth situations, if you are prone to these like i am
2)clear your throat (optional: useful in preventing the squeaky just-hit-puberty effect)
3)speak up, be confident, and make eye contact!
(some people wont hear you the first time. that doesn't mean they're ignoring you. try again!)
