How I did it: I realised that I only have a finite amount of time left in this particular life and that I need to get the best out of the position I find am in.
Lessons & tips: Don't give in. Find out why you think you are lonely. Are you really alone? If you feel that you are then go and join an activity group. Look online on the meetup websites.
