How I did it: I saved up money from my job. Asked to live with someone. Moved when the weather permitted me to do so. I love my new city and am looking to be fully independent by year's end.

Lessons & tips: Save as much money as you can. NEVER leave on bad terms. Stay in communication even if it is an emai saying "Hi. I am alright. Love you. Bye."

Resources: The internet is your friend. People talk all the time about wanting to move and things they encountered. Even telling someone about your move out inspires others to do so, too, so talk about it!
