How to audition for American Idol
How I did it: Got up at 2am and drove to Orlando, two different days. Once for "registration", and the other for the audition, if you can really call it that. We stood in line for hours the first morning, only to take 3 minutes to "register", where they basically just give you a ticket and tell you to come back at 5am 2 days later. When we did come back (if you come at 5am, you're basicaly at the end of the line, the best strategy would be to get there at 1am the registration day, and then sleep in for audition day, because you already have your ticket and there's no point in standing in the front of the line for 6 hours just to go sit down in a seat that won't be auditioning for another 4 hours), we stood there for countless more hours, only to go inside and sit longer. When it was finally my row's turn to audition, you stand in front of two exhausted, distracted, and hungry judges that want nothing more than to kick you out so they can get on with their lives. It's not worth it.
