How to pay off the IRS

How I did it: Worked directly with the IRS to get on a payment plan. They are very good to work with when you are honest about your situation. I paid $500/mo. for over 3 years. Man, it is going to be great not to have to pay that anymore!
Lessons & tips: Work directly with the IRS. Ask them if they can cut what you owe. Be honest about what you owe and how much you can pay. Call them right away if you are going to miss a payment. They are pretty good to work with, to be honest.
