How to visit Canada
How I did it: Planned a trip with a friend who enjoys activities like I do (outdoorsy stuff) and decided to go to Vancouver. It was gorgeous. Tons of little shops and restaurants (check out Yaletown) and art galleries/museums in the city, and just a $20 cab ride away are the Capilano Suspension Bridge and "tree adventures" (which is a series of bridges suspended between platforms on trees), there is also hiking trails there; in the same area is Grouse Mountain --- beautiful! Is normally about $35 to ride up on a gondola type thing-- on the ride you see wolves and a breathtaking view down the mountain. On the mountain you can hike, check out a funny (and sort of corny...but worth seeing) lumberjack show, ride up and down chairlifts (sounds boring, but the view is stunning), go on helicopter rides, ziplining, tandem paragliding...etc. (the last 3 cost extra). We spent the entire day there and grabbed lunch up there, too.
Lessons & tips: Plan any extra activities ahead of time (like ziplining or paragliding) as they cost extra and you may need reservations, especially on the weekend.
