How to keep my room tidy

"it took forever for me to clean it out"
How I did it: I took out everything in my room! EVERYTHING! then I did some heavy duty scrubbing, vacuuming, dusting, soaking, and especially going through my old stuff and throwing it out. Well, actually, I've been giving it away or selling it. we had a yard sale which was pretty successful, but we were just relieved to get rid of some of my junk.
