How I did it: Some of my girlies and I decided to have a picnic at Kitsilano beach.
 
We invited our BFs and husbands and doggies along for a relaxing evening playing badminton, lawning bowling and even the boyz pulled out the guitars and jammed a bit.

We even BBQ-ed some burgers and weiners (yes turkey ones) Everyone brought something for the group to enjoy a lovely dinner and we watched the sunset.

Lessons & tips:

• organize early
  
• don't forget condiments (mustard, ketchup, relish, etc)
  
• bring a sweater so when the sunsets you can still keep warm
  
• bring bug spray if you got mosquitos or bugs in your area
