How to take an ice bath by llong

"Felt great."

How I did it: Filled the tub with 'some' ice and cold water, jumped in for 10 minutes, and got out.  The main thing is to expect to be uncomfortable for a minute or two.  Count to 20 as you jump in and promise not to complain until you hit 20.

Lessons & tips: Small with just a little ice, and add slowly.

1) cools you…I slept more deeply last night than I have in weeks

2) improved blood flow

3) reduces soreness

4) better for one’s hair….not something I have to worry about though.

5) feel great

Some Ice

I tried it but I haven’t enough ice
I the bath is 160 liters I need 2 kg of ice to lower the temperature of 1 °C
So if the water is 20°C I need 40 kg of ice.
Did you wait until the temperature of the water was near 0°C ?

The ultimate temp of the water will depend on how long the ice sits. I put in a couple pounds and 100% cold water and let it sit for a while.

I don’t think the temp got near 0°C. Probably more like 5°C .
