How I did it: well its taken a while to figure out you're the one in control of how you perceive life which is really what depression is. you need to understand that there are always going to be things beyond your control but that's nothing to take personally.. it's how you deal with it right. easy to say, difficult to put in to practice i know but its worth the practice till you get it just about right else you end up wasting so much precious time making a bigger deal out of things than you should have. wasted so much time but am grateful that iv learned a lot so now know how better to deal with most eventualities. at the end of the day none of us know whats round the corner...but we know we are here right now. wat we do in the next hour is up to us..can sit there crying, being unhappy or take some control and think about others..go call a friend..sit with family do something productive. and yeah it really is true once you change your perspective and attitude other change towards you too.. DEPRESSION CAN BE BEATEN!! good luck xxx

Resources: ok so ppl laugh at these but some of these self help books are brill.. friends..keep talking and hanging out. also internet and jus generally changing your lifestyle.. exercise..eating better etc
