How I did it: I was reading a Providence Tour Guide and came across a section on Federal Hill and decided that I would go get an Italian dinner there. I encountered Providence's Little Italy, reached the square where "Caffe Dolce Vita" was, and had Gelato while sitting on the side of the fountain. I was journaling and an old man started talking to me. He was with his wife and another couple. He told me that the city has changed a lot in the past 10-15 years. In the very square where we were sitting, vendors sold live poultry and fresh pasta. Now, you can take some good eats home to microwave. It's still worth it, he says, but just not the same.
