How to start and Finish P90X
How I did it: I just grinded through it. There were 2 times: the 2nd week and the 5th week when I wanted to quit, but I didn't. What motivated me was I had several friends that tried it and quit and I didn't want to be another quitter. Right around 60 days, I started seeing major results and I knew there was no turning back.
Also, I did it with my wife, so we motivated each other through it. I don't think I would've finished it without her.
Lessons & tips: Be prepared to face that quitting moment and tell yourself you won't. Also, do everything you can to eat well or follow the diet. It will give you the energy and the results that push you through it.
Also, if you can afford it, get the adjustable dumbbells. I only had 2 sets but would've been better off with about 5 sets.
