How to conquer my fear of driving
How I did it: I never thought I would be able to drive. I know a lot of people say that, but it's true. I was terrified of driving. I could barely drive a couple of feet. I would have panic attacks about it. But for some reason, something in my mind clicked. I think it was, not wanting my dad (he's the only one in our family who drives) drive me everywhere. I am 19 years old, and will be starting college in January. It is a 25 minute drive from my house. Not wanting my dad to drive me to college was motivation enough. Not to mention seeing teenagers younger than me driving on the freeway and other places. So far I have practiced a lot. I drove on the Freeway twice, which is a lot for me. I am planning on driving again on the freeway tomorrow, for an hour drive, (to and from) which should be better practice for myself. I am hoping to get my license by November or December, or @ least before school starting. I feel almost 100% confident while driving. The only thing that I am not good with, is directions. For some reason I have a hard time with those. But maybe over time I can get better at that too. Anyone who is having problems with this, I understand completely. You can get over your fear of driving. I used to be terrified, not 3 months ago, and now look @ me. Good luck to everyone. :]
