How to grow my hair out
How I did it: I had all my hair cut off, razored even, 2 years ago and I was mortified. The razor really did further damage to my baby fine and colored hair so for the first year it was mostly about cutting the frayed ends to even it and get it back to healthy texture. Then once I had my hair at one length (no layers) I pretty much didn't cut it. In the last year, I cutmy hair once. This ISN'T Healthy. I had long, very damaged hair. It's just not worth it. If your hair is thin you'll find long hair is better in theory haha. Same with colored hair. I look best with chin-shoulder length bobs really and I've come to accept this and work with it!
Lessons & tips: NEVER LET ANYONE COME NEAR YOU WITH A RAZOR. Don't get layered cuts if your hair is chin length or shorter because these grow very unevenly. When growing your hair out, it's easiest to have it be one length. Deep condition your hair once a week to nourish it. This smooths your hair shaft (which makes hair smoother and slows further splits from happening)
When you're hair is cut really short, experiment! I find solace in wearing cute hair clips.
Resources: I use ojon hydrating thickening shampoo/conditioner and ojon oil. I've gotten best result with these products. Also use a leave in conditioner/detangler I like body shops bilberry color detangler. Fine, color damaged hair detangles very easily when wet! This helps sooo much! Carusso curlers. If I didn't curl my long hair, I'd look like marilyn manson.
