How I did it: Got a plumber recommended by neighbors. Most of my neighbors are older 60+ and one was born in this neighborhood. Hired another contractor to open up the walls. This was interested b/c we found fire codes. We even found an old cup in the wall that someone left. Well worth it although we live on a hill. If we want more water pressure,we will have to take it from main line from the city.

Hi there,
You want to make sure the pipes are good. You’ll never worry about replacing copper. Ask any plumber. The copper won’t corrode for example. My house was built in 1946,I live on a hill and we had terrible water pressure. It helped to get those new pipes for that very reason. Open up the walls and see,or have an inspector check it out. Copper is more expensive,but it lasts. Good luck and tell me what you ended up doing if you get a chance.
