How to climb a mountain
How I did it: I hiked a mountain called Mt. Warning in Australia. It wasn't a huge mountain but it was steep. We began our climb at 4 in the morning (we were originally going to go earlier because we wanted to see the sun set at the top but we got a little lost on our way there) The hike up was a difficult work out. It was like doing the stairmaster for 3 hours straight. We didn't stop to rest at all except once at a stream to fill our water bottles. We were about half way up when the sun began to rise. When we got to the top it was about 7 in the morning. The air was so fresh and clean feeling and you could see endless green valleys and rolling hills all around. Beautiful. We could even see the Gold Coast which was an hour and half away where we came from. The way down was more fun. We swung from vines and branches, climbed trees, ran down paths, and saw a huge python sleepily digesting its large lunch!
Lessons & tips: Just keep going til you get to the top!! Pace yourself. And be careful. Stick to the paths that are made, lots of people die going on their own paths.
