How to sail a boat

"I took a class at the local metropark that has a beach and a couple small sailing boats. I plan on taking the subsequent courses too."
How I did it: I took a course at the local beach park. They had multiple boats and very knowledgable instructors. The weather was good, so it was relatively easy to do, but I still have a lot of vocabulary and concepts to learn. I plan on continuing in the rest of the 4 sailing courses they offer.
Lessons & tips: Make sure you go with an experienced person.
