"Fun. I had forgotten how much fun tennis could be."
How I did it: I went and got a lesson once a week for about three weeks after not having played for twenty years and then I joined a social comp, playing once a week.
I thought it would be like riding a bike. It was not. My team and I finished on the bottom of the ladder but we had so much fun. I am starting to improve a little, but my age is not making it any easier. I spend a lot of time laughing at myself because I think I have still got it, and I have not. I have committed to playing again next season and have made some nice new friends.
Lessons & tips: You can get something out of it no matter what level you play at. In fact the less serious the more fun it is.
Resources: Local courts that put on a social game.
