Wow.
wow. good job. I should try it. lols. i get distracted easily. :O
How I did it: Originally, I set the intention to do Internet for one hour a day for a month, but at the end of the week, I have it under control. I just pick an hour during the day, when I feel like browsing a bit, go straight to doing things I want to get done, like making a post, or reading my favorite blog. Now that I'm aware of the time I spend here, I tend to do things more efficiently.
Lessons & tips: Give yourself one hour every day to do whatever you want on the Internet, and then stick to it. When time is up, it's time to do something else! I also mark it in my day-planner that I've done one hour, then way there can never be a mistake or forgetting.

1 hour is not enough… for example, for finding good new music or movies to download, to write a post and check facebook i need at least 3 hours. or even more.
how to cope with this problem, when it’s hard to find what you’re looking for?

Figure out your priorities. You don’t have to spend one hour only. For example, throughout the day, I look things up, but I just do what I intend, and then stop. The main point is to do what you do on purpose, intentionally, not mindless browsing, that doesn’t serve you in any way.
Yes, I agree. Surfing the Internet without intention is like going to the grocery store on an empty stomach…

I agree that prioritization is important.
I am trying to use the net for only productive activities... the challenge being to use the web to advantage... length of time online is not what is important, what is important is what one does with it!

i think i am going to use this kind of plan on action. At the moment i am addicted to the web. I think im going to give myself 2 hours a day for now, and im going to write down the sites i need to visit, and then, because i like to learn stuff, im going to dedicate some of that time to educational reading :) im hoping, and im sure a lot of good will come out of this, should give me some more time to focus on more important things in life, like my girlfreind :)

Yes I think I’ll go for the one hour a day method. That sounds like a good way to do it… The first few minutes of most net based time wasters are the most enjoyable few anyway… Thanks for the inspiration!!

The internet can be wasteful just sitting browsing which can take up more time than you realise. I haven’t really spent that much time on it other than emails, this site & I refuse to spend too much time on facebook etc.
Thanks…:) I would have cheered you but didn’t have any left.
This is great! For me it’s not so much what I’m doing on the Internet, but how I do so mindlessly.

You’ve given me some great tips. I seriously thought I was addicted to the Internet…maybe I am. But your ideas are worth a try!!
i have a very similar goal and i feel like once i do it, i will do a lot better in school. hopefully it will work!
