How to get another ear piercing
How I did it: I was shopping at Claire's and randomly felt like getting a piercing. So she marked my ears and pierced them with a gun. I left feeling good and happy with the way things went. The first day, my ears were fine and there was no burning or anything. But soon, my left ear started burning and getting swollen and puffy. It even bled! So I had to remove the earring. While it was healing, a ball had formed inside of my ear and I was afraid that I had trapped the infection in my ear.
Then the right ear started to burn badly and puff up, but I was determined to keep that piercing. So for 6 weeks, I left the earring in there. Turning it and using the solution they gave me. When it came time to remove the stud, my ear was bleeding and it hurt so badly. So I took the earring out my right ear and now the hole is basically closed.
I found out a few things about Claire's and I suggest you do not get pierced there.
Lessons & tips:
- Check out the reputation of the piercer
- Don't pick a cheap stud!
- Clean your ear at least 2 times a day
- Try not to sleep on your sides
- Leave your earring in, unless the pain is unbearable! You don't want the ear to close up with the inefection inside.
- Do not use alcohol, or the solution Claire's gives you. Use a solution of Sea Salt instead.
- Peroxide destroys new cells along with the bacteria, but if it's all you got, okay.
