How to eliminate trans-fats (hydrogenated oils) from my food

How I did it: I started by looking at labels and making sure there was nothing partially hydrogenated listed. Within the past 2 months, I haven't visited a restaurant and don't intend to do so very much in the future, excluding special occasions (this was not because I was gung ho about not eating trans fats -- I just wanted to eat healthier over all, and a lot of restaurant foods are packed with sodium, fats, and calories). I am eating better and, as much as is possible, I have eliminated trans fatty acids from my diet.
Lessons & tips: Your health is so much more important than whether or not something tastes good. Besides, there are so many healthier and tastier products without trans fats.
