How I did it: Booked myself an appointment at a hairdressers well renowned for colouring, then sat in the hairdressers chair and explained that I wanted a blue streak down the right side of my hair to looks of disbelief.

Then came the task of bleaching my hair (twice - v.itchy) then applying toner to get rid of the yellow. Only then was the light blue colour applyed which turned out green so the hairdresser put a darker blue on top and it came out perfect.

Took about 3 hours in all and my mum wasn't even mad! Just dreading washing it now...
