How I did it: I put the camera in the hall so I could see it often, and made it to a habit to bring it with me every time I went out. I started to look around me more closely to find motifs to photograph. I took picures of anyhting, my son's teddybear, the moon on a bright night, graffiti, a beautiful flower, I even photographed the laundry room when doing my weekly laundry : )
I stopped thinking that the motifs had to be very interesting or beautiful in order for me to take a picture. I learned that the photographs I took said a lot about myself, my life and my days. Whether I had a good or bad day, a photo could symbolize my feelings that day.
Some photos made me start thinking in philosophical ways. Like when I photographed a road block from both sides - one of the sides were showing a warning sign, while the other one was decorated with bold and colourful graffiti. It made me think about how a problem can look very differently depending on which angle you're approaching it. And maybe, if something looks difficult, when you get over the block there's something fantastic waiting for you.
I have achieved this goal now, I am photographing regularly and having fun with my camera.
Lessons & tips: Be persistent, bring your camera everywhere, live in the moment, use your imagination!
