How I did it: It happened really suddenly. A friend of a friend owns a bed & breakfast in Galicia. They needed help and I needed an internship. Voila! Two weeks later I was in Spain. I spent the entire summer there. The weather is perfect, the mountains and beaches are lovely, the food is delightful. it was all just really, really beautiful. I would love to go back. 

Lessons & tips: Just go! Jump on a plane, stay at b&bs or hostels. I especially recommend visiting the Costa da Morte. 

Resources: The b&b where I worked was the Hotel Rústico Santa Eulalia. The family is very nice and they make delicious food. The hotel is an old stone building. Stop in if you get the chance.
