How to learn to sail

How I did it: I took a 4 day hands-on course at the local marina and worked at it. Sailing isn't one of those laid back things to enjoy, it's all about
keeping an attentive eye on the winds/maps and maintaining proper
boating safety. Be sure to go into a course having read the necessary
books and course material before hand because it's a lot to remember
and you'll have to read it anyway to pass the boating exam
