How to spend less time fooling around on the net and more time actually working
"I feel like I've got my life back."
How I did it: I started doing something nice to myself, something I know I should do not something I felt the impulse to do. (Not a master at that but working hard on it.) Wake up early as a routine. Study more studiously for my entrance exam. Just do it!!! And one day I just found myself spending a lot less time on the net, and loving my life more.
Oh, and I find motivational quotes tremendously helpful. Like:
- “Action is the foundational key to all success.”
- “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
I wrote each of these on a piece of a4 paper and put it on my bedroom wall where I can see them often. Try it.
Lessons & tips: Don't think too much about it. Go do something beneficial for yourself - do homework, study, do laundry, read, or whatever you can think of. You know exactly what to do, believe me. Try doing little things first and let them take you to something bigger.
