How I did it: Went to the nursery today with my husband and we got some starter herbs. We decided on cilantro, sage, chives, and greek oregano. We live in a condo and do not have much at all in the way of a yard so we are growing them indoors under grow lights. So far, so good.
Lessons & tips: Grow what you feel most passionate and confident about . We chose the aforementioned herbs because we cook with these a lot and research showed that they were good herbs to start out with as a beginner. So there you have it :)

Thanks! It is a worthwhile pursuit and it will save you money if you already buy fresh herbs at the grocery store for cooking. You can actually buy a starter plant for cheaper than prepackaged herbs at the store.
