How to adopt a kitten
How I did it: Fortunately, my mother's friend knew someone who were giving away kittens. I wanted to be there to choose the kitten I wanted, but it didn't really matter anyhow. She got the "best one". I was so excited when she brought a little ball of grey fur home to mama. :D
Lessons & tips: 1. Decide if you are ready and able to take care of a kitten in your life. Don't be fooled by their size -- it's hard work taking care of a kitten!
2. Ask around... (family, co-workers, neighbours, friends, friends of friends...). You should also consider adopting a pet from the shelter.
3. Look for adverts. There are many people giving away unwanted kittens on Gumtree.com.
