How to start running
How I did it: Took me a few weeks to set my mind to it. I said September 1st I will start running. Almost bailed when the day came. But decided to keep my word. Now been running for one year :) Will be running my first official half marathon (21km) and full marathon (42km). I love it. keeps me stress free, and healthy and bouncing off the walls :)
Lessons & tips: Sit down, think about WHY are you doing it. Associate more pleasure to running vs not running. ie...do some research for benefits FOR running. Get proper shoes....shoes are a must, that is proper shoes. Improper shoes will kill your running enthusiasm. Then sleep on it. Commit to it, and make the commitment public. Start small, and work your way up. I couldn't run for 10min when I started, so start small.
