missyinsomnia will hopefully get her room done today
i don’t have any cheers left but good on you:)
How I did it: It was gradual. I went to HS with a bunch of douche bags who didn't make any effort to know me and mostly ignored me as if I was nothing, so inherited that and I saw that as a fault of my own instead of theirs.
So forgetting that was the first step. Realizing that there were people who wanted to get to know me for what was inside and wanted to make the effort. As people got to know me, in college, I felt more comfortable with myself. It was the first time I got to express, externally, who I was and I was actually a pretty funny and interesting guy! So I kept talking to people, dated a few girls, talked to more people and eventually, forgot about the whole shy thing. I also traveled around a lot, and got to know other cultures, so you can't be shy if you want to eat or know where the toilet is.
Anyways, just talk!
Lessons & tips: If your shyness has anything to do with your first 18 years, forget it!
If you are under 18, these years are totally NOT important. My best years are currently occurring, 21 to now (24.5) and going on. Sure they could get better.
Resources: Confidence.
for some reason, knowing you’re a guy and went through this, like me, with HS and everything, it makes me trust you it’s gonna be ok even more.;]
