How to get something published in a newspaper or magazine

How I did it: I started publishing articles in newspapers and magazines when I was only ten years old. I published a political article in our local newspaper. Shortly after that more articles followed and I overcame the boarders of our small community. I became successfull when I was 14 and was editor-in-chief in my own department at a small newspaper and continued to write.
Lessons & tips: Just do it. Write and sell it. The worst thing you can do is hesitate because you think you couldn't pull it up. It's hard work but it is so worth it...
