How to see a Glacier
"It was one of the most amazing things that I have ever seen"
How I did it: Not only did I see a glacier, I climbed it. In August, I traveled to the North Cascade Mountains in Washington State. Since this was my first experience in Alpine Mountaineering, I hired a guide service to assists me complete this goal. We settled on Boston Basin area near Marblemount Ranger Station for my adventure. After a day of glacier travel and crevasse rescue training, we knocked out Sahale Peak. It was a truly amazing experience and www.ncmountainguides.com was a great guide service.
Lessons & tips: Stop making excuses and just make it happen.
Resources: I did a lot of shopping at www.rei.com and www.backcountry.com. Both, companies are great and have periodic sales on performance clothing.
