How I did it: I managed to accomplish this task with a significant amount of help from friends and family, and two solid days of non-stop labor.  Focus on one area or one task at a time, and just dig in.  Don't waste time over-thinking the process, or it becomes all too easy to procrastinate.

Lessons & tips:

• First, admit that you need to clean your apartment and work to keep it clean.
• Don't be too afraid/ashamed to ask for help.
• Develop routines for cleaning, decluttering, and general maintenance so that you don't get overwhelmed when the time to clean arrives.
• Allow yourself to feel frustrated, but keep moving.

Resources: I found that a small steam-cleaner was invaluable for the heavier jobs, such as cleaning the oven.
