How I did it: i dont think i faired too well till now. but i am still wrking from home. lets see if i can manage things in a better way now. it has its ups and downs.
Lessons & tips: the best part is you are not tied to a fixed 10-6 job and u can choose ur time.and u can learn a lot of new things, join a lot of classes as u dont hv a time restriction.
the downside is that ur always free and ur always busy..if u dont stick to a routein that ie. another downside is ur family and friends might not take ur work seriously and think ure always available. so make sure u have a tight routein and learn to stick to it. i am still trying. u hv to respect ur work before anyone else learns to respect it.

glad to know u r considering the option of wrk from home…trust me..thr r way tooo many plus points as compared to the cons….but the cons are pretty serious….thr are chances u cud feel ur life is becoming monotonous and dull….u’ll always be thinking bout wrk coz the option of leaving behind ur wrk b4 coming home is not possible here…but dont worry….thrs a very simple solution to all of this..allot ur timings and STICK TO IT!! learn to take ur wrk seriously too….else the others will take ur wrk for granted tooo..!! be focused. if possible make a separate home office…like a room…once u enter the room….its wrk time…and whn u leave it…leave the thoughts of wrk behind tooo !! :) :)
now..i dont know wot kind of lead u r looking for…i am a lawyer…and have this arrangement coz i was not ready to relocate after the branch of my firm was shut down..and was offered this option of doing wrk and sending them frm home. thats my story…
but u can look for a number of options…to start with…register with www.elance.com and several other websites which offer u home jobs. also…if u r an animal lover, u cud get into pet sitting while wrking from home.. :) :)
