thankyou for not letting me make the same mistake of letting people’s comments stop me from doing what I love :D
How I did it: i always had a passion for photography, but it was suppressed by some one who put guilt trips on me over every opportunity i had to go further so i just ''got over it' i guess... i still always had a camera in hand, taking photos of everyone and everything. But i stopped following through with artistic works that i had thought up...
My fiance and i saved a bit of money last christmas so he took me in to buy my first DSLR and he encouraged me to take a course and start getting back into it all!
Lessons & tips: Just go for it! dont worry too much about money, if you dont make a success out of it, at least youve encouraged and nourished an important hobby!
Resources: going to uni for 3 years helped - i did bachelor of art and business subjects - which opened my eyes and i learnt things outside my world. The more i learnt, the more i realised what i wanted, till i finally did a photography class and found i did amazingly well, i was supprised that i just understood everything!
