How to run a mile every day
"The benefits from what you gain after a good run far outweigh the pain or discomfort."
How I did it:
I decided to re-define what running is in my mind, rather than looking at it like "ugh, this sucks, this is SO painful", I looked at it like it was the "good guy".
I intently kept my focus on the end result, the reward. I would embrace the pain and look forward to a nice cool shower and leaving the gym feeling great, and I mean great!!
Lessons & tips: Coming up with the courage to start is the difficult part. Even more difficult than starting is the follow-through commitment and discipline to keep it going. The best advice I can give is to not "think" too much about it, but just oneday get yourself out there and DO it. You just need to get mad enough at yourself. Also, make it a fun thing to go buy some running gear...get really into it and sooner or later you will be thanking and loving yourself.
Resources: Proper nutrition, treadmill.
