How I did it: I saw an ad to teach Sunday School on Craigs list and took up the offer. Two interviews later, I signed my employment papers. Luckily, the hours fit with my school schedule. The stars must have been aligned.
Lessons & tips: Go for it! Little steps, an open mind, and an open heart are all that is needed.
