How to get rid of my car

"Long process."
How I did it: I originally bought a car because I worked overnight in a city where driving was pretty much the only way to get around quickly - everything was spread out. I later moved to downtown Denver, and everything is within walking or biking distance. If it's too far to bike, I can take transit. If I need a car, I can use one of the carshares in town!
Lessons & tips: Don't buy a car unless you really need one. They're certainly useful, but sometimes parking and maintenance and gas and payments and insurance (etc) are too much to handle.
Consider donating your car to charity - it counts as a huge tax write-off!
