How to learn Portuguese SOON

How I did it: I moved to Brazil. I'm currently enrolled in a university here. I have to speak portugues (though at the beginning I only spoke to whomever spoke spanish or english).
I did take some lessons with a teacher por a little over a month, but one classes at the university started, everything helped!
Lessons & tips: There are very useful resources on the internet, especially people willing to work as tandem colleagues.
Resources: Well, a good google search might help enormously!
